On Friday Oct 11 I stretched my legs around the Arboretum in Nottingham, taking part in a local walk, raising awareness about activities that prevent suicide in young people. This Hopewalk was organised by Nottingham Trent University's Student Services team, as part of a national day of Hopewalks that support the excellent work of the the charity Papyrus #Papyrus. Although it was an exceptionally wet afternoon, with very many puddles to avoid, I hoped my taking part, might swell the numbers walking. I met lots of other interesting walkers, following our departure from NTU's Student Union and during the half an hour walk. The walk was also the first opportunity to wear and show off my new jacket and cap, that is soon to be available to fellow Dachshunds through my website.
